Collaborations Gallery is due to open its large doors in early September with the first collaborative exhibtion by artist/owners Cecilia and Julian Maher.

Dunbar House which sites the gallery, has undergone an extensive refit, restoring the building's grandeur and giving it a comtemporay feel.

Collaborations is an upmarket gallery operating with a methodology of collaboration between disciplines. The aim is to bring together artists both from New Zealand and overseas, which may include visual artists, writers, musos and mutlimedia pracitioners. Out of the collaborative process artists will produce hybrid artworks resulting in exciting and innovative exhibitions.

The opening show is of large scale art works, furniture and jewellery rendered in steel, patinated copper and paint. This stunning show looks to be an event not to be missed.
